Is a waste collection service dog be profitable? I want to start a waste removal service very soon. I want to charge $ 30 per month for a dog, more + $ 5 for each additional dog (weekly withdrawal). Let's say that each site has a dog ($ 30) if I get 45 customers, thats $ 1350 per month. I have to make expenditures. I am a student just looking to make some money a part-time. Are these numbers realistic? Advice?
With the United States about to head into recession and the mortgage market of choice for homebuyers evict the dog does the cleaning industry is probably not a high demand service.
Good concept, $ 30 bucks is a little high, school children going door to door during the holidays looking for a bob a job to do this for $ 10.
Give it a go, but I do not know that it is the right time for this type of business
The calculation is realistic, but it is the demand? If it is your right and prices, then you're ready to go.
It could be a tough sell though.
I think the rates you charge, you would have to come twice a week. I know I do not want to wait that long to get my yard cleaned if I pay as much.
I also think it might be difficult to find many people willing to pay for this service ... if the number of customers that you may not be realistic (at least early ... maybe once you get a small number of customers they refer you to their friends and then your company will slowly develop).
You may even choose to offer more than one option for clients: $ 20 for pick-up once per week or $ 30 for the collection twice a week.
Good luck!
We pay $ 56/month for our withdrawal doogie doo doo and it comes once a week on Friday. It is for two dogs.
Think a little to offer kennels, walking services, etc.
I think it should be profitable and your numbers are very realistic for me.
We started with one person in Milwaukee and in one year we had six people to do full time.
The demand is there. They charge $ 6 per dog per week, $ 10 for two dogs. three visits a week, all wastes are left to owners trash. Special one-time rate to clean the entire back yard once a winter for those who just let things accumulate.
Dog owners buy subscriptions - pay in advance for one week, one month or next. They may offer a sliding scale for more dogs per household, or fewer visits.
You only need a bucket of bleach with a blanket, rubber gloves, a trowel, an icebreaker (winter), plastic bags, a shovel, towel paper, rubber boots and a strong stomach / nose of the smell. Oh, and some leave a dog biscuit by dog per visit as an advantage.
I found lots of "how to" work on this with a Google search, if you're interested in refining the idea. Many people have so far had jobs in the last 5 years across the country.
