I agree, this sounds like termites.

It is not uncommon to find ants with temita. The ants use termites as a food source.

You can use an insecticide to kill some of them, but you really need to be sure they have not invaded the house. I'd say you have an exterminator take a look to be sure they do not.

You must understand that killing the "white" ants that you see really not get rid of the colony.
