Garden sheds plastic storage - How do they compare (cost wise) with metal and wooden shelters? Plastic outdoor sheds are cheaper than wooden sheds, but more expensive than metal sheds.
I recently bought a plastic resin storage shed (10 x 10) for about $ 1600. A similar metal shed would cost a third of that price - but I stay away from metal because of the durability and maintenance issues.
All the sheds I built / bought over the past 15 years have been either plastic or wood. They are easy to install and very durable.
I think the plastic ones are more expensive than metal discounts based on what I saw in the ads and probably about the same or less than wood. Lumber prices have increased considerably in recent years.
But then again, metal sheds seem to keep getting cheaper and cheaper and have made the sensation of a soda can. Unsustainable real. If you are looking for a long life without maintenance, I see plastic ones. Long life maintenance (painting, caulking Every couple years), then I look at the wooden sheds. Depends on what you use it to also.
And none of them will require site preparation, ensure that the space was at the hangar can be flat and square.
