Wooden posts and how I came out Usually wooden fence posts around the United States are placed in the basement at a distance of 24 inches. When set by the manufacturer closing average, they are set with 80 pounds of concrete as a footer for the post of wood fence in place. Sometimes, on average, do your self, this footer can vary from £ 10 to £ 120. When the wooden fence posts are placed in is not intended for disposal, but with the idea of them being permanent. As time and weather conditions of these posts wood fence can be damaged and / or worse, they may fail due to rot and breakage.
When it comes to repairs and maintenance or replacement, we forget how easy it was to place them behind and start making with the first shovel a few spoonfuls of it is quite a task imminent before us under the surface. It may be easier to leave the mass of concrete where he rests and shorten or lengthen in response, but this will not normally work for the entire section and causes more problems as the work progresses. Can I distinctly remember the thoughts running in my mind that there must be a better way that I brought to the masses. It was 2:00 and I'm always the first position with 25 to go.
After extensive research and I came to ask a nice guy who gave me some advice on safety, but a good solution to my problem. He asked me if I had a grease axles and at this point, I knew I was in a good story and most likely a bit of sage advice. He began to describe how he had often done on a ranch, it was once installed to maintain. He said that hundreds of wooden poles connects a rail fence located throughout the facility, often the posts would fail.
This failed due to age and decay when in contact with the soil for long periods of time without proper drain off the accumulated water and elements. He said that the snow in winter was very good initially hard on the wooden fence posts and was really the main reason for deterioration.
He began to detail what he did and was cautious in his approach that I quickly made a wooden fence post could easily fly into the air and impaled by the windshield of my truck. God thank you, I did not remove the steel fence posts! His approach with axle grease began to take shape. Basically, he told me to take an old truck tire rim and the hub grease. Then wrap a heavy chain as Nice with two rolled around on the rim to rest against the wooden fence post with a piece of lead on the winch or part of the front of my truck.
The length ahead at the top of the rim away from my truck that would be affixed to the wooden fence post and wrapped around most of the post as possible. The rim is narrow enough that the chain and post never became a matter of rubbing or friction. The caution came into play, as he says I need some more chain for a wide tie and safety at the chain around post secondary. The integration of such security so that when the fence post wood begins to emerge would not be able to travel far enough in my windshield
As crazy and dangerous, because it seems that it worked like a charm and I was able to get the wooden poles and concrete with minimal effort. We're getting better, more 4x4 wooden fence posts we withdrew. Sometimes, the messages increased about 5 feet. I think maybe they enjoyed themselves too much attention after so many years.
