Winterizing Your Lawn

Posted on August 15, 2010.
Winterizing Your LawnWhat does this mean for the winter your lawn?

My husband and I are first time homeowners and we received a flyer stating that we could get our lawn for the winter for $ 30. What do they do when they winterize your lawn?

Winterizing court simply means the application of a good fertilizer for your lawn ready for winter stress. I do not want to pay thirty dollars for it - Just go to your local garden center and find a fertilizer low in nitrogen (first number) and higher in potassium (last number). The one we sell is generally 8-12-16.

Ask your husband, apply fertilizer, water, and you should be good to go for the winter. Take the extra $ 15 or more and have a good dinner (well, maybe not Nice - LOL).
