In those days, sugar was an expensive commodity and it showed the wealth and prosperity of donors.

Of course, as the price of sugar fell, others began to follow the fashion popularized by the aristocracy. They also started to give favors similar to their wedding guests. Over time, these favors have been replaced by almonds to represent the well-being in the life of the bride-groom. These almonds turn became sugar coated almonds.

Traditionally, sugar coated almonds are given in sets of 5. These represent the fertility, wealth, health, longevity and happiness. They are usually presented to visitors in boxes for simple but elegant bags or favor. It is still a very commonly given for the wedding guests in the world, but things change and people start to get more inventive.

Today, you'll still be sugar coated almonds and candies, but others, you'll also favors more expensive such as crystals beautiful candle favors. What are the signs of time and it is just another way for the groom to thank their wedding guests. For those with a tighter budget, couples are becoming more creative and make their own favors and maybe present it in a box for Nice. This can save on costs, but still have a great effect by adding a nice personal touch.

Whatever the direction of fashion for wedding favors go, it is clear they are extremely popular and are still here to stay. Wedding favors are a great way for the groom to thank their hosts and should not be a costly exercise. A simple home made for a beautiful favor box can be a great gift to receive.
