Watering your lawn up to 1 inch? I was told that when watering your lawn after application of fertilizer, you should water until 1 cm every two days. This should normally tae 30 minutes or so. I heard the best way to check the water level is to place a small box with a 1-inch mark on your watering area. Once it reaches 1 inch you know you're there. I did it last night and after 30 minutes has not yet close to an inch.
Is this just a bad view or am I not long enough for watering?
An inch is good, depending on your situation. Lawns can burn after fertilization, so it's good to error in the verses over-watering sub-irrigation.
It will take more than an hour. Use a tuna or cat food can (as they are about an inch in height). When it fills, you're done.
If there was not a thumb in the container, then 1 inch does not fall on the lawn - unless the container is in a dead zone watering. Try putting a couple in containers as a check. I think once a week 1-2 against every two days is enough.
I have water for one hour one inch once a week. It's hard to keep a lawn. The water pressure and flow can affect the amount actually get on the lawn. Not you! :)

you do not need water as much, in fact, you can be the leaching of fertilizer beyond the base. It is best to water lawns every other day a bit of a lot every week. Sometimes heavy water, but not all the time it is a waste. This might be measured is incorrect due to drift and the sides of the CAN / Angel spraying. My rule is to water well after fertilizing-15 minutes or more depending on the fertilizer / type of lawn weather / / type of year the soil type /. Then the water 5-12 minutes each day. As long as you have good coverage on the sprinklers will be great. If you do not see a dead zone then you're fine. Use a small cup and do the test again. If you get one quarter of an inch in a half-hour is more than enough.
why not wait a decent rain is expected, and fertilize your lawn one hour before arrival time, or fertilize the afternoon before more rain overnight. As your lawn should not require fertilizer twice a year in spring and fall, normally there should be some good showers forecast in recent months, unless theres a drought where you live.
