Vinyl Trellis

I have a little painted wooden trellises. I just moved into a house with vinyl siding, which I've never had before. How can I fix the mesh to the outside wall facing vinyl? I do not want to just start drilling holes in knowing that I caused some problems with the integrity of the siding. Thank you

I would not, I get a little wooden reinforcements and put in place near the house, but do not put holes in your siding
