We want to get a 6ft, white vinyl protective fence around our backyard.

The fence would be 163 linear feet.

Can anyone give us an idea of how much it should cost? Would materials Lowe's or Home Depot last 10 + years? How much should a door cost?

We just received a quote of $ 4800 a guy private fences, but we can not allow that, plus it seems too high.
