Shed Foundation

What is the best way and cheapest way to dig a foundation for a 10x10 shed. It is already a pressure-treated floor kit consisting of 2x4. I thought of developing an area of 4x4 and 12x12 at filling 3 / 4 inches of stone. The lower part of the site is about 12 inches below "level" ground. Suggestions???

It might work, it would give you good drainage and a good solid surface to stand. You may want to find something cheaper than the 4x4, cross, or perhaps even 2x12x12 pressure treated if you go back filled with pea stone you should not have a problem with them bowing in.

Use three 4x4 carrying beams that perpendicular to the floor framing. somewhere in the middle and one at each end 2 feet from the end of the building.
