Seeding A Yard

Seeding A YardCan I aerate after fertilization and seeding my yard?

I already seeded and fertilized my yard. It is then the grass with a few bare spots and I wonder if I should aerate after sowing, I know you're supposed to do otherwise, but I did not and I wonder if it will always be beneficial to aerate now. I have a lot of clay in my soil so it is quite difficult ground, I raked a lot before I planted, but it is still difficult. Thank you pour votre aide.

You can ventilate whenever you want.

Aeration of the lawn will not improve the soil. You need to develop the soil that holds water so it will not compact. Working in batches of soil organic matter if you want results fast.

If you look at the lawn like a long term project, mow often so you do not produce as many clippings press clippings and leave the place on the lawn as mulch to maintain soil moisture and build as they compost. The cuts should not be left heavy enough to create a dead zone in the grass.

Adjust your mowing schedule so you do not have a lot of cuts at a time.
