Can someone please help me with recycling issues? Okay, I admit to not being the best contributor to the environment, but I had some notice that the family of my friend gave me from left field and left me completely perplexed. Here are some very stupid questions that I want to know.
First. Garden waste, can you put food in it and should you? (Things that would not fit the general disposal of waste)
Second. Is this a question vary from one state or is relying almost in all states. I have the time returned to Portland for example, and my bf and his family live in Seattle, and then they say we need to recycle food waste into garden at Washington.
Third: What "could" be recycled like plastic, tin foil, glass jars, cans, cat should be washed thoroughly before it is recycled right? What if it unsaveable like a piece of aluminum foil that is so much more. Do you think trash or try to clean it further, then recycling?
Four. The lids of cans of cat food recyclable? (They are metal)
and Five: Unrelated question, but the eggs must be refrigerated or is it just a recommendation? (This is an ongoing argument with my mother that I say they should but I made more solid reasons)
Still thank you for your help. I know that many questions are as ... Are you serious? But I am genuinely puzzled.
The people of Portland Metro should be able to answer all your recycling issues. I'm not sure about eggs ...

I have no idea I never recycle.
Each municipality and / or refuse collection service has its own rules about what can and can not, what should and can not, and how elements should be prepared for recycling. In part, this is based on what arrangements have been made for the provision of recycled flagship.
1) food waste in the garbage garden - It depends on the recycling program in your municipality has put in place. In Seattle, all residential food waste must be placed in the recycling yard. Many objects wrapped in paper, making ice.
