Choose the right fertilizer for lawn with Turf Trust There are many brands of lawn fertilizer on the market, most of which you've never heard of. Everyone knows the Scotts brand, they are in all the major chains (Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart), but few know about their rivals.
There are four main competitors brand of fertilizer;
- Pennington
- Jonathan Green
- Turf Trust
- Greenview
Most of these brands can be found in local garden stores (Meadows Farms, Merrifield, etc..)
When selecting a lawn fertilizer, the most important factor is the amount of insoluble nitrogen in the water it contains. This means that grass will gradually fed nitrogen (the stuff that keeps green) for several months. The advantage of the nitrogen fed slowly is that it does not burn the lawn as fertilizer Scotts traditional, and also provides essential nutrients for a long period of time.
If you need a fertilizer with low price to give a glow to your lawn green quickly, go with Scotts. It is easy to find and inexpensive. But if you want a high quality lawn, I recommend Turf Trust or Jonathan Green Organic fertilizers.
If you're worried about your pet or the environment, the use of organic fertilizers Jonathan Green. It is a safe alternative fertilizer.
If you do not have a pet, use professional trust Turf lawn fertilizer. It is lawn fertilizer more upscale market and give you the best results.
Pennington and Greenview two brands are decent, but do not offer the same micronutrients and nitrogen sources such as grass Trust.
