The Scottish Terrier tends to be a person one or more dogs. They prefer cooler climates and moderate exercise. Daily long walks or in a fenced yard to meet their needs for exercise. They are known to be diggers and they go astray, given a chance, so make sure it is protected. They need to be extensively socialized with other animals and older children. As a reminder, never leave a child unattended with a puppy or dog.

She should visit the veterinarian several times the first year for the photos, boosters and check. Then, in adulthood, it must consult the vet for yearly shots and check. As it grows, and six years, she should visit the veterinarian twice a year for balances and plans. Remember, avoid feeding your dog sweets.

* Grooming. The Scottish Terrier has a harsh, coat with a wire dense, soft undercoat. They need to be professionally groomed several times a year.

Her teeth should be brushed at least twice a week with toothpaste and toothbrushes for dogs. Brushing removes plaque and tartar which can cause cavities (rarely) and periodontal disease. Dog periodontal disease can lead to pain, loss of teeth, bad breath and other serious illnesses.

Her nails may be necessary to examine the growth and cut regularly. The rear toenails grow more slowly than toenails before.

Life *. The Scottish Terrier can live between 12 and 14 years with proper nutrition, medical care and excellent living conditions.
