gel fuel which is the best buy. can someone help???? I have it for Christmas! I have the chimney.

I had a gel fuel fireplace for years - it is quite difficult to find the fuel tanks at the local level but there are many places on line that sell them. Google search for "fireplace gel fuel." Most sell a case of 24 cans for about $ 65 to $ 80, but some sites sell small quantities. SunJel is supposed to be the best. One company even different flavors! In discipline, you can use sterno you can buy in most grocery stores or hardware stores, but it does not produce quite as good of a flame as those made for the chimneys. A camping supply store, or a patio and outdoor furniture should be having. I do not know if Home Depot would be, you can call and ask. Another place might be a place for fishing, as Big Five or Sport Mart. If none of it, use larger boxes of "Sterno" which is sold in supermarkets with the picnic stuff.
