Patio Trellis

I want a wood - perhaps cedar, so I would not need harsh chemicals to treat it. And I would like to plant something that grows between the openings - may be the honeysuckle, or perhaps even something edible. A planter at the base would be a good option too. I only have basic tools, and I worked with wood only slightly, so that the lattice could not be too complicated to build.
