Pasture Irrigation

Pasture IrrigationIs it expensive to irrigate the pastures with a well?

We have a house 1,600 square feet and 2 acres of pasture. We have a MOC has 25. All we have is a good - no irrigation for pastures that we have to use the property. Is that the pumping be costly for this?

Yep! He will get enough water there to make a difference. The pump in the well is probably 220v it will run your electric bill, such as running air conditioning. I live in Texas and the rain made everything around me. There has been some rain but we are still under drought conditions. Maybe I start feeding my horses hay, we have 4 and my 5 acres is very dry. So just do what I do out of chicken feathers catching some tail feathers, Stickem in your hair and do da dance.

The deeper the well, the more it will cost. The cheapest way is to pump from a pond.
If you do not irrigate once or twice a year to your property it will not cost that much. Probably cheaper than making a pond.
When you pump a lot of well water in my county you need a permit.
