I need to design and install a sprinkler system sensor-motion to keep my cats in their own backyard. Ideas? Contech ScareCrow keeps animals with a wide spray, too broad, and it would prevent me from enjoying their own backyard cats. I just need to route the sprinklers around the perimeter of the fence privacy wood and when the motion sensor (s) to detect the approach of the fence, they have switched off at about 3-4 feet from the fence and back into the court and stay home. I contacted the irrigation companies here in San Antonio, but no answer yet from motion sensors activated what I want, just the sprinkler irrigation part /. I saw motion sensors that activates the lights, open garage doors, close the curtains, but other than ScareCrow I have not seen any information on a sprinkler system trigger. I even thought about the produce section of misting systems that come intermittently. All ideas are welcome.
Only way I can see to do is get a light detection and movement of the coil wire sprinkler zone to electricity (some light) detector.
Why not try a battery operated electric fence. The shock is so small you hardly feel it. It does, however, dogs and cats will think twice in the designated "off" zones. Plus - one week after the closing has not even been on.
Search for www.provenrepellents.com scarecrow.
This is exactly what you want, activated by movement of the rotor type sprinklers. $ 70! Kitty Kitty .... Heeeere
sounds like a waste of water.
All the birds or squirrels or any other will set it off. Presenters will visit almost all the time.
