Metal Garden Fencing

I just noticed a large hole in the fence in the garden is next to our bird bath. Concerned about the birds and really angry too!

I do not think cats could bite if it.

Is this fence?

No, cats can not sting through a wire fence metal. Rats are the likely culprits, or squirrels, in fact, most rodents can bite through almost anything.

The mouth of a cat would be torn by the metal. In addition, a cat would go over the fence rather than being disturbed by chewing on her.
I can not think of too many creatures whose mouth is not torn by the metal. Even mice can not chew through metal.

Not at all. Badgers can, though. Have you badgers locally? But they will not disturb the birds, just dig your lawn and flowers
