Meco GrillsYou prepare a steak with garlic this weekend!?

With the weekend coming, I thought you all would like to cook this delicious steak. The ideal meal for those among you who are living alone and cooking for you.

If you do not have a "Grill Room electricity ', you really need to get one. Go to places like Wal-Mart, Target, Sears, etc. and tell the clerk what you want. So, good for cooking steaks, fish, vegetables, chops, etc. and you'll be glad you did on those cold winter nights. Be sure to keep a few steaks, chops, fish in the freezer so you have on hand any time you feel like a great winter meal. Go to this link to see a picture:

Steak with garlic and asparagus
2 servings
Preparation: 15 minutes
Table Top Electric Grill: 3 to 4 minutes

Grill-Table Top Electric Grill
(Conventional method is at the bottom of the screen)

Ingredients
1 12 - to 14 ounces boneless beef fillet on top (Strip) Steak, cut about 3 / 4 inch thick
1 or 2 large cloves garlic, coarsely chopped
1 / 2 c.. cracked or coarsely ground black pepper
1 / 4 c.. salt
8-10 thin asparagus, trimmed (6 oz)
2 v. tea. oil flavored with garlic, olive oil or olive oil
1 / 2 cup beef broth (canned is good)
1 / 4 c.. Dijon mustard

Directions:
1. Rub the steak on both sides with a mixture of garlic, pepper and salt, pressing the mixture with your fingers. Place asparagus in a shallow dish and drizzle with oil. For sauce, in a medium skillet combine broth. Cook over high heat for 4-5 minutes or until mixture is reduced to 1 / 4 cup. Whisk the mustard and keep warm.

2. Preheat an electric grill inside on setting up, if available. Place steak on the grill. If you use a grill cover, close the lid. Grill until steak is desired doneness. (For a covered grill, allow 3-4 minutes for rare or 5-7 minutes average. For a covered barbecue for 6 to 8 minutes for rare or 8-10 minutes for medium, turning steak once.) If space allows, add the asparagus on the grill covered for 2-3 minutes or last to discover the grid last 4 to 5 minutes of cooking. Cook asparagus until tender but still crunchy .*

3. Pour the sauce over a serving plate. Cut steak in half crosswise. Serve steak halves atop sauce with asparagus on top. Makes 2 servings.

* Note: Cooking time will vary depending on the size asparagus asparagus. In addition, if there is no place on the grid, asparagus can be grilled after the steak.

(Standard method:
Prepare as above in Step 1.
Place steak on unheated rack of a broiler pan.
Broil 3-4 inches from heat (some flame in the bottom of your skillet) for 8-10 minutes for rare or 10-12 minutes on average, turning once and adding asparagus to the pan grid the last 2 minutes of grilling. Make sure to clean so it will not smell in your house the next time you use the oven.)

Change your steak and it will be better ...... Nonsense that means! I was a meat cutter for 6 years. Try a rib.
