How can I keep rabbits from chewing on my son electric garden lights? I have a beautiful fountain which is in a 3 'open area, sandwiched by a walkway on one side the house (brick) on one side and the back of the shurbs on two other sides. The rabbits have chewed the cords between fires. I want to shine the lights up and the fountain on the night. The fountain is surrounded by about 2 feet of gravel - until the bushes. The solar panel is about 10 feet away and I have "hidden" from the floor above the trees where you can not see it, then okay, but the strings that connect three lights and six are -8 "of soil are short. I tried to put plastic tubing around them, but even the most hidden plumbing beneath the shrubs (the lights around the area behind the bushes) n ' is not very attractive. The cords themselves are so tiny and can be easily hidden, but the plastic tube is so obvious and icky.
I heard of a human hair, but what about dog hair? I just give the dog a coupe and has a ton!
I have an automatic sprinkler system, repellents so that the liquid washing hair on the gravel is going to look gross, and besides, the part they have chewed is about 4 inches above the soil. There are too many strings to mothballs and a fence that looks ugly next to the sidewalk.
Suggestions?
Find something they do not like some kind of smell that they do not like and pass it around to places you do not want them to come closer.
over the use of rabbit
Judo Chop them every time they try until they realize this area is off limits.
Try the dog hair. Go to a local salon and ask for the hair from the floor.
