Lawn Fertilizer? I want to try a liquid lawn fertilizer. I only used the pellets, but I think better results with a spray on as you attatch a hose. That's my house, not a commercial application. I want to use for my lawn, not a garden.
Water Soluble Fert is beautiful, but it has no potential for release over time. you get a fast green and red of growth, but it does not last as long ..
Granular fertilizers tend to dissolve more slowly and more nutrition. They do not give you that quick greening, but they tend to give better long-term effect.
Consider the two .. use a water-soluble at half that rate and apply the granules once. You should get quick greening and green longer term, at a time.
Look for the words "controlled release" on the granular Fert. Products such as Scott "step" series are intended to be reapplied. And often. A controlled release granular can last a season, if you select the right one.
Good luck!
any type of liquid Fert is ok, but if you want a great looking lawn go with the weed and feed Scotts then after a couplr weeks if you want a greener lawn work using nitrogen 0-0-46 really.
I used Miracle Grow and had good results.
