Lake Vyrnwy

Lake VyrnwyBy 1900 the village was drowned under llanwyddyn Lake Vyrnwy. can I find a map of the village lost?

Lake Vyrnwy has been built to supply the city of Liverpool with drinking water. the village was on the way and had to go! under drought conditions can still see some of the remaining structures. but where are they from the shore of lakes? Lake Vyrnwy is in the county of Powys in Wales. It is the largest lake in Wales.

The Ordnance Survey has started before the construction of Lake Vyrnwy, so you should be able to get a pre 1900 map. Try the main public library for the region. We were able to obtain large scale maps of an exploration area of Scotland pre-1900 from the archives of the Public Library in Inverness. The cards are on microfiche and the librarian printed items we wanted. (It was a while ago) The archives can now be available online according to the local authority, but you would probably join the library and get a PIN number for access.

Is your next question will be:
Where can I buy scuba equipment?

NO!
