Lawn irrigation system cost? Hi-
I have a lawn irrigation system installed in my yard. "I have your standard subdivision firms court small to medium size front. All Pro Lawn Lee's Summit MO gave me the following offer. (The owner came over and looked into the court ... he should go under my wide driveway to run the system on the side), he wants me to pay 1900.00. This will include a clock Hunter, rain, and I think two areas ... He said something about the division of an area in the main courtyard so that the area does flood the small side. He said he would get over-watered if she were his own area. It would use Irritrol 1 "Valves. Is a valve as well as the sprinkler head? Anyway, it has been in business for over 15 years or older and worked for major manufacturers. It will also strengthen the system so I can add to the court next year ... he do it for me for over 700.00. Sound good. ... And these valves are they the same as the heads?
is too much for only two zones.
when we slow our discount price isn't much more than two zones for 1000-1200 with all parties Hunter.
which isn't a cheap brand.
simply because it has increased to once or twice does not mean he should get paid more for it.
we do not have my business.
valves are what controls a certain part of the head yards.
heads just come and spray water valves are activated by the timer.
$ 700 is good for a supplement on the area.
boring is not difficult or tricky.
just dig on one side of the aisle and pull the pipe through a hole.
and digging up the other side and voila.
the machine will do the least fun.
if it does not have a vibratory plow that can bore to install your system, hire someone else. it is not a professional if not adequately equipped.
I do not know the price ... seems a little high for only two firing ranges, but a line under the driveway is tricky, so perhaps that is where the cost is running high.
A valve is a device that controls the flow of water to the sprinkler heads. It is usually in a partition that is dug into the ground, where the lines for the different areas to join a common manifold.
I agrre with others, but do not get cheap with a hose. If it freezes and bursts in the drive you'll be in for a fix price. For most of his work that will get you. And you do not need a rain gauge, if it rains stop irrigation off.
I have been designing lawn irrigation for a while and I usually budget about $ 50 AUS sprinklers, including the nozzles and hose / accessories that go with it. There are usually 4-6 pop-up sprinklers (rotors) as a function of pressure / flow in your area.
Add a valve (the automatic on / off for each zone) and all the accessories you look around and pay $ 400 per area.
The controller (Hunter is good is if Toro) and rain sensor would be another $ 200.
Add labor and boring in the driveway and I would say the price is very competitive.
You could reduce the price a little lower with PE pipe desity rather than PVC.
Do not bother with the rain sensor, I have never seen as being very effective, heavy dew causes sometimes turn off irrigation. Irritrol do a soil moisture sensor to sound that is much more effective.
Note that my estimates are in Australian dollars, the sprinklers / controllers etc. all come from the United States should therefore be cheaper for you.
Hope this helps.
