When and why is regularly controlled saline irrigation? Since when do you need a perscription for it? I know that many people are gonna say: "a sterile saline solution is not controlled, stupid!"
Do not believe me? Go to your local pharmacy and try to buy a pot of 1 liter of regular, ordinary sterile saline irrigation. You know, the stuff that you can use to rinse the wound with. Simple water with salt.
A year ago, I had a hangnail removed. As part of daily care for my injury, a podiatrist has instructed me to soak my feet in a sterile saline solution with a little iodine. I know, I saw the makings of a thousand times before in the store.
Yesterday (7/7/08), I went to buy the usual iodine and saline to flush a wound bad enough on one of my friends. Walgreens ddin't it. Wal-Mart did not have. Target did not have it. I was flipping out. I went to a hospital pharmacy to see him behind the counter and be told that I needed a perscription.
WHAT! Since when? Since when does a simple saline control? Does anyone have an idea why?
Use a mixture of Epsom salts. The directions are on the packaging.
I do not know why saline is a controlled substance ... Sounds par for the course if! Shoot, you must show your ID when you buy super glue today! It's crazy!
Get the washing solution of contact, I think it's the same thing.
