Hunter sprinkler controller shows "no" ca? The Cable Guy Verizon was here and he disconnected the power controller sprinkler for a few hours but when re-powered, it displays "no" to AC. In some online forums they say that the controller does not receive power. How is it showing "no action" message without power? This screen is blank when power is disconnected.
Also, I can change all other settings without any problems, but only when set to "Automatic" he said "no" to AC. I tried resetting the controller and it worked for one night and watered my lawn, but the morning he returned to "no" to AC. I opened the lid of the controller and could see some of connector for 9V batteries, but no batteries. Clues?
There is a small capacitor that will drive the screen for a certain period of time before it becomes clear. 9V batteries are to preserve the memory you should get a temporary power failure. But the "Cable Guy" may also have a rider accidentally removed when he cut the power - to verify that.
Install the 9V battery and see if the problem has disappeared. There may be a reset button inside too, but if you use the new game you'll have to reprogram it. But if nothing can solve this simple - Verizon back and have them repaired.
Why would he have an opportunity to disconnect all of the sprinkler controller? It makes no sense at all.
