Potatoes form sidedish Holland? Me and some friends recently went to Eindhoven for a weekend and went to a restaurant called "Manhattan steakhouse, where they made a side dish with grilled meat and because of our ignorance of all that any of of us would ask what was foreign. It was a dish of potatoes with perhaps cauliflower or something in it. He went into the seats, has been laminated / marble in appearance, different color and had throughtout ham and peppers topped with cheese in it. Perhaps the most beautiful thing I've tasted. It's not as if Krokketten. Who has the taste ****.
im from the Netherlands, and to be honest, it does not sound Dutch. From your description, it could be something of moussaka, potatoes dauphinous. there are no layers Dutch native dishes well. we boil it or crush the potatoes in the native cuisine. Arnt peppers actually used in Dutch cuisine is. the whole dish sounds Italian or Greek to me.
Yes this is not bad is it
I wonder if you mean a variant of a Scalloped potatoes, layer of potatoes into thin slices with the garlic between the layers and baked with cream or milk.
This is not on the menu why not ask them

I googled the ingredients and came up with this - it seems likely that one of them might be similar to what you had? Sounds like a sort of potato omelette Spanish (also known as a tortilla with potatoes) for me.
