Protection against fire-sprinkler
If you were in a city like New York or Los Angeles, you've probably noticed a trend of high rise buildings because of the scarcity of land in urban areas. According to the law of tall buildings are supposed to be so constructed that no part of the building exceeds 30 feet of stairs. However, with the advancement of science and technology, new systems of protection against fire are being developed that allow buildings to require steps not exceeding 45 meters.
sprinkler systems are the most widely used and oldest form of sprinkler systems for fire. The reason this is the most widely used fire-extinguishing system because they generate an automatic fire alarm and extinguish the fire. Some forms of sprinkler systems:
Wet sprinkler This system consists of pipes that are kept filled with water under pressure. When the sprinkler head opens the water is sprayed on. This is the system most widely used.
Pre-operating sprinkler systems, this system has a primary side filled with water under pressure and a secondary pipe filled with compressed air. If a fire occurs, the fire detector uses the signal to open fire water pre-flow operation detection unit that causes the primary side to launch the pressurized water to flow on the secondary side . Once the pressurized water enters the secondary side, it operates a pressure switch which generates a fire alarm. The decrease in pressure in the primary side causes the pump works and water jet when the sprinkler head opens with a heat sensor.
Open-The sprinkler system uses open sprinkler heads that do not have heat sensor, so that water is sprayed from the sprinkler heads together when manual. This system is used when you have high ceilings which create the possibility that the normal flow of warm air could open sprinkler heads that are not on the source of fire.
The sec-sprinkler irrigation system to dry both sides of its pumps. The primary side is filled with water under pressure and the secondary side is filled with pressurized air. This system works when the air pressure drops in the secondary side and the sprinkler head opens and then the detection unit of water flow opens and releases water.
Protection against fire is very important when it comes to the safety of all buildings and sprinkler systems should be considered when building a high building.
