Fall Decorating Part II - Go Natural! So you've decided on your home needs a little help decorating for fall, one of the simplest and most dramatic of doing this is to bring the season inside. Nature has given us so many gifts at this time of year, and nothing shouts "fall" like red apples, squash or pumpkin orange.
Some points to keep in mind when using nature into your decor:
Make sure the plants you choose are ripe and dry. The leaves can be dried by placing in a shallow dish and pour the hot sand on top. You can leave them as is, or complete by immersing them in a clear varnish.
Mature, squashes and pumpkins in good condition should be able to withstand a fall season of the display inside.
Autumn Leaves & Vines: Using strands of artificial leaves, wrap them around gates, chandeliers or large bottles.
Mini squash and pumpkins: The favorite colors of fall are full of character with their interesting shapes, colors and patterns. Small look great when they are displayed in a basket or placed on a stand with a little moss. Try filling an urn or vase with clear glass bottles and placing it on top of a buffet or dining table. Need a doorstop? Suffice it to support a large calabash gourd or against the door.
Great Pumpkins: You can not go wrong with pumpkins. Why not try digging the center and use it as a vase for a bouquet of chrysanthemums, he prepares a spectacular exhibition on the porch to welcome your guests.
