You've probably put a lot of thought into your selection of patio furniture, choosing pieces for comfort, durability and attractiveness. You create the ideal outdoor space, but the autumn arrives and the entire region is lost as you snuggle up inside to get warm.

A patio heater can simply allow you to enjoy your patio furniture, but in all the coldest weather. If you live in a warm climate, a small heater can do outdoors all year round comfort. Even in colder climates, a high efficiency unit, a porch to create an oasis of warmth between the snowy landscape.

You can purchase these devices at any merchant patio furniture. But before making a selection, you want to understand the three different types of heaters and how they will respond to your needs:

Electric Heaters

These are best used in a patio or garage. They come in a variety of sizes from small and large mobile and fixed. They plug into household current and warm up at the flick of a switch. Electric heaters all work on the same principle, using radiant heat to diffuse heat into the room.

Small units are not designed to heat the air, but rather the warmth of the people to the radiant heat expels cold. It is often fine for a small group of people, but if you hold a party terrace winter, they can not do the job.

The large units are permanent fixtures installed by professional contractors. Carefully consider the investment, because once installed, you can not change their position without the contractor back. They are much more efficient than smaller, enclosed patio heating very quickly.

Propane Heaters

This type of heating is generally in favor of restaurants and other commercial establishments. They use a propane tank like you might have in your grill. They put an enormous amount of heat more efficiently than electric heaters, keeping the patio set at a comfortable temperature.

Sizes range of simulation models that are great for a romantic dinner outdoors in large models that heat easily, even large spaces. They are available in a wide range of styles of electric circuits, making it easier to find a unit that matches the rest of the furniture.

The biggest drawback is the inconvenience of replacing the tank. They spend more than a propane grill, because they try to heat a large open space rather than a small confined space.

Patio Heater Natural Gas

These work similar to propane heaters, but rather than having a tank, they are directly connected to gas lines of the box. This makes them easy and inexpensive to operate, similar to a natural gas fireplace.

Because of the connection pipe gas, these units are almost always fixed in position. However, the absence of an external tank which makes them smaller than a water heater propane equivalent, it is easier to find the perfect place for them.
