Electric Fence Installation: Can I include the closing under the ground system? The installation of perimeter fencing existing 5 acres in 48 "screen enclosed measuring the standard T-posts. The plan is to use the system grounding normal ground rods but then attach fence itself to ground system. I can run a separate hot wire, which would be insulated from the fence itself via T-Post insulators.
The ground is very dry, rocky red soil, with lots of clay, which may require additional ground rods along the fence. The answers are much appreciated. Thank you.
Here is a website of things about electric fencing, tractor supply:

They recommend 3 ground rods near the charger for best results. If you use the screen attached to T-posts, the screen is really grounded throughout its length. You may experience problems with short-circuit due to the proximity of the hot wire and ground.
use additional rods. Do not attach the fence to the system. wait until it rained, then the rods should go easily, even in rocks, clay, red clay.
