Can an electric fence for dogs in the neighborhood of injuring my old cat? Our cat is out a few days ago and did not return. A neighbor has an electric fence around the yard for their dog. If my old cat walks across it can harm or kill him?
Thank you.
If you are talking about an invisible barrier, no, it does not hurt your cat.
An electric fence works by sending a signal to a specially designed necklace, which will then issue a small static discharge, like that you can get to walk along the carpet and touching a doorknob, but a little more painful. Without the collar, the "closure" does nothing.
If you're referring to a metal fence that has an electric wire along the top, or electricity coursing through a part of it, it is possible that this could harm your cat, but the details are very dependent on how the fence is in place.
the only way it would hurt him if he is one of the special collars that shocks on. like the cat is old, it is possible that he went to die. cats do. my cat did that and I found in my neighbors yard
What do you mean by an electric fence? If you mean a fence made of electricity passing through it, this would harm those who come into contact with.
Do you mean an invisible barrier? This has an effect on a dog wears a collar special.
No. The only invisible electric fence shock of the animal with the collar. Without the pass, you would not even know it's there.
