Deck Privacy

Deck PrivacyLooking for ideas plants / trees for privacy .. Bridge condo?

I just bought a condo in Nice, at ground level. We're only one step of the grass, but I do not think anything has been allowed to plant.

We have a beautiful large terrace, and one side is completely private, the woods at the back is also nice, but on the other side is totally exposed to our neighboring bridges. We would like a little more privacy that way, and think of small trees or large plants we can keep in pots or buckets. Annual eventually if we do not have to drag them indoors during the winter.

We have no idea what to get that habit either require constant maintenance, watering, etc. We do not need toweringplants huge, but do not want to worry about plants that can switch in the wind, etc. I have never gardened before, if my thumb is not very green (yet) but I do plan learning more now that I have a small area of grass for the garden and a pleasant terrace.
Maybe something to slow growth if it does not need to be re-pot constantly. However, we also have a home where we could replant

If you're in New York will almost certainly have to worry about snow and frost.
Under conditions of bridge I purchase four units of planter box.
place at each end of short duration (center) and the other two at equal distance from the end and the center of the bridge. Make sure you get a planter that is both broad and deep. The secondary units may be closer in length and width as the frontline troops.
Both units should be mirror images of each side, with the units providing a contrast.
All units will have an evergreen in the center to provide your needs and be a focal point. No need to drag an evergreen inside! I place a right to Norway spruce plantation side and a topiary plant in the units before. A blue spruce or two catchy plants would be perfect.
Fill the sides of units of annual flowers at the height of mid-size. After die-off you will not be on the bridge anyway. Complete the forward units with a combination of coniferous and annuals. Cranberry Cotoneaster I plant in each corner and center, with Heather. Heather will bloom in winter by adding another element to your garden. Using seasonal or annual Pansy to fill gaps in the forward units. Hope this helps.
You can contact me at gjgjobs@yahoo.com. I love these situations.

palmettos are really nice. I think they are suitable for most or all of the conditions that you named. I do not know how they handle the cold, though.

Get planters trellis attached. Then, buy a vineyard Nice climbing to grow on it. It will provide privacy to the year and can be moved. If you get a self watering planter that is, maintenance is very low.
