The world's window is not limited to aluminum, double-hung, casement, and the new PVC. Metal Crittal, shutters, windows and skylights are also available, and they all need their own padlock for security reasons.
Metal Windows crittal are difficult to obtain because there is normally no space around the frame to attach a padlock. For this reason, it is normal practice to use the handle to the window. Although this is generally frowned a security standpoint, it is the only option in this type of window. Special locks have been developed that make the handle more secure, and this type of lock should be installed.

However, there are certain steps you can take to make the window more secure. If the glass window is not fixed in the frame, secure it with epoxy resin. Louvre Windows also have specific locks to lock the glass closed, but the glass is so easily forced, they are not much more security to a property.

It should be noted that when louvered windows are concerned, all these security measures are temporary and that the police advice, it is preferable to replace this type of window with a replacement as soon as possible
