Would it be acceptable to the common yard weeds in a tank softshell turtles? I've heard that plants can add more oxygen in an aquarium environment and eventually lead to better water quality and a happier turtles. However I have no money now to buy aquarium plants specified. " So how weeds in my yard regularly to tank? Softshell are strict carnivores, I am not at all worried that my turtle will eat these plants and die.
All and any help is greatly appreciated.
I would not do so simply because they were never sprayed with herbicide and fertilized and it is in the water, it could be harmful to the turtle.
live aquatic plants ... dead terrestrial plant decomposition is ruining the quality of water.
The weeds will die in an environment like that, and they will turn the filthy water. You'll need to water plants, but I'm not sure of the oxygen content of your soft shell, remember that it is a breather and then they can get a limited amount of oxygen through the skin, it is best to let you decide the turtle. In addition, they can and do eat plants so that plants you put in there can end up being eaten.
Do not worry. They die and decompose, adding to the BOD (bad) water. Just change the water often until you can afford a good filter cartridge.
No, they could have pesticides in them and stands in the water and kill him.
