Someone knows if there are cheap metal swing sets that are larger or how to build a single swing from the woods? We want to give our children a swing, but it was already 7. I wanted to get a swing cheap metal commonly sold in department stores, but it seems they are so very small (short). Does anyone know if any store sells a metal swing that is greater than the norm? Otherwise, I might build one out of lumber? All I really want is the swing (no slides or other accessories), and we have no trees to make just one swing. Maybe I can get the lumber and build a swing? But it seems shops sell plans for a large set.
The best way to do it is to go on Craigslist and look under your region under free. Keep an eye on it a person fails to appear before you know it. You can also post you're looking for. That's what we did and we now have one. And it is metal, we repainted and cleaned. As you are our son of 7 and we have done has been added cement blocks on the bottom of the poles and wrapped in a thick mat.
This raised the swing in one foot, which alloweed enough room to play on it, the more it is stable enough for us to get on him without moving and the carpet is soft enough we will not have any division heads .
It cost us the gas to pick it up. one hour to remove and take home. Two hours to clean it and set it up and $ 10 in supplies.
