Charcoal Smokers

Charcoal SmokersCharcoal smoker or smoker propane?

Now I have a Brinkmann Charcoal Smoker. I'm getting sick of dumping charcoal when it is low. My question is if I am a smoker propane propane how long last, because it must be running for eight hours Atlease by smoke. Is it Worth or better stick with the charcoal Smoker Propane since that would only smoke 2 or 3 before having to complete Thanks.

I have a Propane "Smoke Vault" which has 4 bays (I could go 2 turkey cut in two as a load).
Depending on the temperature outside, I can usually get 30 + h (@ 250 degrees) on a tank that costs ~ $ 17 to fill.
Me and my guests love the final result.

I think you'll see a big difference in the taste of smoked propane. Charcoal does add flavor. I have a Brinkman supplied with a propane burner set-up Plus can be used for coal. I only use propane for the production of Hobo dinners where I need the high heat and continue. I watch a lot of competition BBQ Championship on television and have yet to see a set-up of propane used.

is a unit if the power equation for you ... very simple, no real mess and adds a good flavor to meat
