Should I fly to Bali for wedding or stay home? I am invited to the wedding of my friend, and it is in Bali, Indonesia.
I want to go but I am very aware how I worsen global warming through my daily personal choices.
Afraid that if I buy a flight, I am plagued by guilt.
So in terms of morality global warming, should I take this flight of 15 hours-plus to attend the wedding?
Do not, they'll just get divorced anyway when an old flame she looks.
Yeah you wish the story too, but I'll keep it private. Report Abuse

why not? you can fly above and further raise awareness about global warming:)
No! You should not even be married as we have so little time (at least as Jim Hansen and Al Gore have told us).
This is why many airlines offer the option to purchase carbon offsets. I think that these credits are a scam, but if it makes you feel better, learn about them. It's your money, and you have the right to spend as you wish.
Of course, if you want to be tormented by guilt, go to Bali and stay there. Then you can live carbon and guilt free forever.
Stay home. Send them a gift card and a cute and practical. I read that if you were to take a bus with the same amount of people on the plane, bus burn less than half as much gas as the airplane.
And get this, pilots rely 99% on air traffic controllers to flight data to navigate the sky. And if you get into an accident while on the bus, your chances of survival are more than twice that of the aircraft.
Driving is much, much slower. But it's the right thing to do. I would. It might take me three days, but I want to spend a week with family and friends and sleep when I'm there. ;)
But with only your two choices, I would just stay home. DO NOT try your luck on a plane.
In addition, when the jets have to lighten their load for reasons of height, if they are on a stretch of water, or when it is safe, they must open their fuel tanks empty and one of them . It was so discusting. Think about marine life. Think of the people, even you possibly could in the near future, to eat marine life. And yes, they often do. If they do it on your flight, you will not even know. They just open their tank when on a lake or open field, etc.
That's what I read from various sources on the jets and the environment.
You know all the IPCC went to Bali for a conference. These are people who tell you not to reduce your carbon output, but it must be an international regulatory body to regulate what you may do so.
Well, why not? If the UN can have a meeting in Bali, why not go see your friend getting married? Is this a good friend? Have you been to Bali before?
Global Warming morality? And people say religion is not a global warming. Sheesh!
Do it. The plane is flying there anyway ... You do not save the planet by not being on it. And I am a proponent of AGW ...
Believe me ...... If Al Gore had the chance to fly for a commitment of $ 300,000.00 to speak ...... he would!
Do not you dare feel guilty to go and celebrate your marriage friends, stealing and having a good time.
Your trip to Bali will provide.
